The Forty under 40 South Africa Awards are coming to SA

The Forty under 40 South Africa Awards is an initiative of the prestigious continental concept of the Forty under 40 Africa. The organisers, Xodus Communications (Pty) Limited, have curated this award ceremony to identify, honour and celebrate a cross-section of the nation’s most influential and accomplished young business leaders under the age of 40 from a wide range of industries. These are individuals who are committed to business growth, professional excellence, community service and have risen up the ranks of their companies or industries. 

Nominations

Nominations are open and can be placed on the awards website www.fortyunder40awards.co.za from the 3rd of May 2023 to close on the 16th of June 2023. The awards ceremony promises to be a celebration of the remarkable contributions of young leaders across South Africa, and the Jury and Awarding Board Members will be instrumental in making it a success. 

The award ceremony is scheduled for the 9th of September 2023, at the Houghton Hotel.

Eligibility

  1. To be eligible, candidates must be South African, living and doing business in South Africa.
  2. Nominees must still be under the age of 40, or 40 in the year of the event.
  3. Nominees must be entrepreneurs or Chief Executive officers, Founder, Co-Founder, or CEOs of a company. 
  4. The selection process is not swayed by the number of nominations an individual receives.

Requirements

The Awarding Board is seeking outstanding entrepreneurs, executives, managers and professionals in the public, private and non-profit sectors, including recognition of attributes such as achievements in business, experience, innovation, vision, leadership and community involvement. 

The categories cover a wide range of sectors such as banking, finance, energy, family business, agriculture, theatre and arts, journalism, fashion, law, sports, events management, health, technology, innovation and many more.

Xodus Communications (Pty) Limited in Partnership with The Minister in Charge of the Presidency for Women, Youth, and People with Disabilities, Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma presents the Forty under 40 Awards, South Africa.

Forty under 40 South Africa is proud to announce the Jury Panel and Awarding Board Members for the first-ever Forty Under 40 South Africa Awards. This esteemed group of industry leaders and experts will be instrumental in guiding the nomination and selection process for this highly anticipated awards ceremony.

  1. Dr. Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma: Minister of Women, Youth and People with Disabilities(Chairperson of the Forty Under 40 South Africa Board) 
  2. Mr. Waseem Carrim: NYDA CEO
  3. Ms. Simphiwe Nomvula Mbatha: Member of the National Assembly
  4. H.E Grace Jeanet Mason: South African High Commissioner to Ghana and Sierra Leone

  1. Angela Senosha: Founder and CEO of Positive Switch
  2. Michelle Austin: Financial Director at Keegor Group of Companies
  3. Reginald Pillay: Group CEO of Ariston Group

The Jury and Awarding Board Members will work hand-in-hand to ensure a fair, transparent, thorough nomination and selection process. Their expertise and insight will be invaluable in identifying young leaders who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and impact in their respective fields.
