Krispy Kreme South Africa will expand its off premise sales to 23 stores across Johannesburg, Pretoria and KwaZulu Natal. The ‘off premise’ sales model is already a hit in markets such as the UK and Australia, where it comprises around 40% of the total Krispy Kreme business.
Testing a new format
South Africa is one of only five markets that are rolling out the initiative. South Africa’s status as a new, emerging market makes it easier to test this concept. For Krispy Kreme South Africa, off-premise sales are all about creating greater accessibility to its delectable doughnuts. While Krispy Kreme will now be available in more locations, quality will not be compromised. Krispy Kreme is famous for delivering fresh doughnuts to each store daily. Deliveries will occur once a day and doughnuts will be sold while stocks last.

Krispy Kreme South Africa opened its first off premise store on September 17 at the Engen Garage in Watermeyer, Pretoria.
