South African start-up Snaply is an all-in-one e-commerce solution for tech-wary would-be online retailers, complete with integrated payment systems and hosting. Snaply allows registered users to build their online shops using a template-driven interface. If you can use an internet browser and email, you should be more than able to set up a store on the site. Snaply was conceptualised to provide a platform for smaller retailers. “We want to see more people transact online, and help the Average Joe leverage this environment,” explains co-founder Jonathan Page. There are currently four basic packages available; the Freebie (no monthly subscription), the Rookie for a start-up store (R40/month), the Maverick (R100/month), which is designed to grow with you, and the Professional (R260/month), a fully-featured store. There are no set-up fees, unless you need help getting going, or are after a look and feel different to what is offered in the template selection.
